Apopka Arts & Jazz Festival

Teachers may use photos and maps to create great informational flyers to get parents to the amphitheater on March 2nd.

Each school in which the bookkeeper can certify that 100 tickets have been sold will share in the profts from gate ticket sales.

For the 2013 Festival the number of participating schools has doubled.  Welcome aboard to the following schools from Ocoee and Winter Garden.

United Arts is sponsoring  the Third Annual Apopka Arts and Jazz Festival.  The organization will include the event in their list of publicized February arts offerings.  In addition, they will be donating funds to purchase a block of tickets for needy families.

While we do not want anyone to have to be at the event from 11 AM until 6 PM, one of the goals was for the music students to visit the art booths and the art students to sit and listen to their own school’s musicians perform.  Parents and students also have the opportunity to listen to the older students sing or play.  The high school students can hear the college students perform at 5 PM.  I hope everyone will take a keen interest in the efforts of other schools and students.  Everyone has worked so hard.

Teachers – please begin collecting the money back from ticket sales and deposit the funds with your bookkeeper by Friday, February 11th. The Apopka Police and the Wekiva Band Boosters need to have preliminary numbers for adequate police and food preparation.
