Each school in which the bookkeeper can certify that 100 tickets have been sold will share in the profts from gate ticket sales.

United Arts picks up the Festival

United Arts is sponsoring the Third Annual Apopka Arts and Jazz Festival. The organization will include the event in their list of publicized February arts offerings. In addition, they will be donating funds to purchase a block of tickets for needy families.

While we do not want anyone to have to be at the event from 11 AM until 6 PM, one of the goals was for the music students to visit the art booths and the art students to sit and listen to their own school’s musicians perform. Parents and students also have the opportunity to listen to the older students sing or play. The high school students can hear the college students perform at 5 PM. I hope everyone will take a keen interest in the efforts of other schools and students. Everyone has worked so hard.

Ticket Counts

Teachers – please begin collecting the money back from ticket sales and deposit the funds with your bookkeeper by Friday, February 11th. The Apopka Police and the Wekiva Band Boosters need to have preliminary numbers for adequate police and food preparation.

Instructions for Vendors

1) ALL BOOTHS MUST BE SET UP BEFORE 10:45 AM – can use trucks and cars to unload

2) After 10:30 AM unloading will be by foot

3) Reserved parking for paid Major and General Vendors (see ROTC)

4) Booth Location will indicated on a map sent to you by coordinator

5) Tear down is between 5:00 and 6:30 PM. No cars will be allowed until after 6:15 PM

6) Communication on the day of the event will be with Carol Wetmiller 407 461-4453
